What does a typical day look like when you’re caring for someone? An open-ended question like this can tell you a lot about how a caregiver thinks about their role. Are they task-focused or relationship-focused? Do they talk about the person or just the duties?

What happens during transitions? If your loved one’s needs change, as they often do, will this caregiver be able to adapt? Or will you need to start the search over?
